Today's the day!

GUYS!!!! Today is the day! I am typing this from the Atlanta airport, getting really excited about being in London in just a little bit! I've spent all this week shopping and packing and I think anyone that knows me would be proud to know that my suitcase only weighed in at 38 pounds. This is LEGENDARY.

I feel as though I have lots to share-- what we're doing in London and Paris, what I packed, what I've read about, so I'm getting pretty pumped to be able to capture it all. I'll try to share when I can, but be sure to follow me on Instagram @meredithscroggin--

I have oodles to share from all the summer happenings, so stay tuned!

Summer Excitement

So. This summer has been really busy, but busily fun and I have to do some of my shameless promotion for the things that have happened in this quick month or so of being home.

Central Kentucky Riding for Hope

I've written about being out at the Horse Park, but this has really been an exciting thing. CKRH is a nonprofit organization that's dedicated to helping children and adults with special needs in their minds and in their bodies through using horses as therapy. Lessons have changed their lives and it is absolutely incredible to just take a step into what goes behind this amazing work. Here's an article that goes a little more in depth about CKRH. I started the day I got back and have been helping them get ready for their main fundraising event, called Night of the Stars, which is this weekend! The main aspect of it is a silent auction, which is now live and anyone from anywhere can bid online! Please check out the auction or consider making a donation. It's been a really fun month and I'm excited to see where the next few months go! We even got to go down to see foals that will eventually be police horses the other day and they were too cute:

You've probably read an article from the Odyssey. Actually, I would almost guarantee it. The Odyssey is a collection of articles from college students at different schools and Richmond has just gotten their own chapter! I was selected as the Social Media Director for our chapter and I'm really excited to work with some smart people and see where all of it goes! But, I'd really love if you could like the page and check out some of the articles.

PS: This is a really funny article with 20 Signs You Just Finished Your Freshman Year at Richmond, love it!

And while you're at it, go ahead and like the Monogram Meredith page on Facebook!

Just a few things of what's been going on. Can't wait to share more!

A Chic Crop Top

Crop tops and high waisted shorts. Very common combo and one that I usually would never really wear. Body insecurities and the fear of coming across, as, well, 19 years old stopped me, but I think I've found a few ways to do it in a way that makes me happy.

How fun is it when it's a flower top and pastel pink shorts?!

I really loved this. I've had this top in my closet since January when I bought it on clearance at Wet Seal. Heard me ramble about my Wet Seal purchases before? Oh yes, one was this skirt and one were these shorts. I can't find this same top, but here's a floral one and here's a navy and white one from Wet Seal. The shorts are vintage but honestly some of my favorite shorts: a similar pair from Macy's is here. This purse was bought at some random store a while ago and I've looked and looked but can't find a similar one! Scallops make the world go round, though, I do agree. These are Betsey Johnson sunglasses with a similar pair here

What are y'all's thoughts on crop tops and high waisted shorts?!

Donut Adventures

I don't know if any of you follow me on Twitter, but I mean I guess you should. I crack myself way too much on there, and maybe I'm not as funny as I think I am, but I was live tweeting my new favorite holiday on Friday: National Donut Day. I knew, like, Thursday night that Krispy Kreme had a new deal the next day, but not until I woke up on Friday morning was I struck with the idea that I should absolutely conquer this day and all of the donut shops in Lexington.
And a journey began.

I started at Dunkin Donuts, where I had to buy a drink for the free donut, but it was a pretty and delicious combo nonetheless.

Look at that pink and orange! So pretty! Not pictured: me devouring pictured donut.

Next stop was North Lime Donuts, a loved Lexington donut shop. They had 50 cent donuts but by the time I got there, they were all gone! But this is just a snapshot from my last visit there. Absolutely the cutest and coolest donut place.

So I went on to my internship where I picked up some donuts for my coworkers at a Krispy Kreme stand at a Shell.

I got to leave early and realized there wouldn't be any more deals, but I had to at least try and see what other donut places I could go. I will say that two of the best donuts places are Magee's and Spalding's, but they were both closed by the time I was out. So I went out to Donut Days and they were out of donuts. C'MON PEOPLE, IT'S A HUGE HOLIDAY AND YOU HAVE TO ACCOMMODATE FOR MY BLOGGING CONTENT NEEDS. It's okay, though, I'm just stressing that it was my fault I didn't truly experience all the donuts in Lexington.

But later that night, my sister and I on our way out, stood in line at Krispy Kreme for our glorious free donuts. And man, were they worth it.

And on this day, we celebrated donuts.

Happy Wednesday,

Graduation Weekend!

Ahh, such a fun time with everyone graduating! My sister and I have a lot of the same friends that were seniors and had a ton of fun together seeing all of them last weekend.

For one night, I wore this Lilly dress that I wrote about here.

And then my sweet brother graduated!! I am beyond proud of Brandon and so excited for him to attend Western Kentucky University! Bowling Green is lucky to have him.

I wore this dress from TJ Maxx (the one I wore for Proclamation!), but here's a similar one. My bow necklace is one of my faves and was actually a Forever 21 purchase {similar}!

And oh, how I love downtown Lexington!

Next day was for my sweet gal pal Hal. Hot temps call for long and breezy maxi dresses. Here's a similar one from Target.

...and talk about the cutest decorations and party supplies!

This was this past weekend but still continuing the graduation fun! This was a thrift find but just shows you don't have to spend tons of money to look fancy {similar}. I also had a fun braid from the day of running around and just kept it in for the night. It made it so much cooler on my neck!

Lots of fun with all the festivities-- congrats to all the graduates!
