Beachin'

I'm completely okay to admit that I've been dying for a post with that title, because I just love Jake Owen and I love that song and well, using song titles for blog posts is what I do best. But we've been having a great time at the beach and I just had to share!

Here are the two different shots, and a little bit of a funny story with it: my brother was sitting with me while I was taking the first one, and he asked if I was going to Instagram it. I said that I didn't know, but he said, "Well, it won't be a blogger picture if you don't put your hand in it with some sort of fancy manicure and lots of rings"..... oh how he knows. Instead, I resorted to the second.

Enjoying some sand art (definitely not mine) and waves with my sister! It's insane how clear the water and white the sand is... I love it!

Then we went to dinner at Cheeseburger in Paradise, which I thought wouldn't be a vegetarian's paradise, but wait, it actually was.

VEGGIE BURGERS AND ONION RINGS FOR ALL. Wow I'm salivating just looking at that again.

Cheeseburger in Paradise is one of my grandmother's favorite places and she had raved about the chocolate nachos..... holy moly I was in love.

I wore a black and white striped maxi I got a long time ago from TJ Maxx. It had been tucked away and right as I was packing, I found it and stuck it in my bag and was so glad I did! It's just perfect for the beach when you're all showered and clean.

Of course, we had to make a little bit of a dent in our shopping while here, Destin has the best outlets! Sadly, I didn't get anything, but did get a few shots of an ever-adorable Kate Spade store. *heart eyes emoji*

In the morning, we packed up a few (or a lot) shirts to send to a bride! How cute are these tanks for a bridal party?!

The afternoon was met with relaxing at the beach.... and my sister and I trying to float in the ocean. I'm about to write a letter to the manufacturer of one our floats telling them about how difficult it is to lay on your stomach in the ocean. I swear, it was probably the funniest thing in the world watching the two of us try to get up on these silly inflatable things (and keep our bathing suit tops on). But the beach in the late afternoon is so beautiful; the sun is getting lower and there's more of a breeze and you can feel the reflection of a day in the sun. So perfect!

Safe to say I was good and tired by the looks of it?

Hope y'all are having an excellent week, and if you're starting school this week..... thinking of ya!

xoxo,
Meredith
