gold accents

I had joked on New Year's Eve that even though there were lots of fancy parties full of sparkles and glitter, I was really enjoying being in a sweater and leggings with some of my closest friends.

y'all, this is the #dreamteam. no one can beat our soccer skills. we're incredible.

Of course, that sweater was brown and those leggings were black, all of which I paired with brown boots and a cream vest, but who doesn't love neutrals?! Okay, okay, maybe that should be a goal of mine to wear more colors, but I love wearing browns and blacks together and making it all chic.

And jeez, I do love the mix of neutrals and gold accents.

Accessories and jewelry are always something that I get a little fed up with. I hate having dangly things on my wrists and ears, and I can't have a ring that stick out. It's all so pretty, but I feel so cluttered having too much. And I never know how to piece it all together! I always end up wearing the same couple of pairs of earrings. So as part of the new year, I wanted to change up my jewelry some. I was really excited by all of the matchy-matchy things in this outfit.

my sweet friend Caroline got me the beautiful earrings and bracelet for my birthday!

If you like this, this outfit is very similar to this one.

Top: Charter Club | Skirt: H&M | Boots: Etienne Aigner | Coat: Gap | Earrings & bracelet: Handpicked | Watch: Anne Klein

And on top of all of those gold accents (I am very particular about matching the metals on my clothes and jewelry...even when it's not noticeable. Whatevs.), I got my Alice+Olivia for Starbucks mug in the mail! Eeee I was so excited to have won it from A Southern Drawl!

Offish a real blogger now. (Because doesn't every blogger have it?!)

Have a happy Friday (and happy snow day!),
Meredith
