Candy Corn Cookie Bars

I don't know when it happened, but somehow I became the girl that always baked for everything. Some sort of social gathering and it's as if people expect me to have a tray of cookies in my hand! I love it most of the time....but when you're tired and have already signed up to bring something good for a Calc 2 Halloween party, you turn to the best and easiest cookie bar recipe you have.

YES, I know I've blogged it before, but I'm just here to demonstrate its versatility once again.


I feel bad because there are so many cute and tasty Halloween recipes out there, but I just wasn't feelin' it. So, you make your cookie bars with whatever festive candy either inside of it, or on top of it. And everyone loves it.



(Shout-out to Gates Corman and Adam Kiser for being such fab models. I tell them that if they're going to make me bake, I have to take their photos. It's a fair trade-off.)

Here's the longer version, but here's the short story: 1 box of cake mix, 1 box of vanilla pudding mix, 2 eggs, 3/4 cup of oil, 1/4 cup of water, and 1 cup of candy. Mix it all up, spread it in a greased 9x13 pan and pop it in the 350 degree oven for 25 minutes. Frost it and you're good to go!


Trust me, you'll probably see this recipe again at all other holidays. It's just so amazing and easy!

I think I like Halloween treats because it's just a precursor to all of the many Christmas desserts to come...
