80 Calorie 'Frappucino'

I'm not exactly a Starbucks girl. I mean, don't get me wrong, I love the treat of a nice coffee or pastry, but I absolutely hate spending money, especially on food that I can make or bring myself (I've been known to bring my own snacks to everything).

I mean, I'm somewhat adamantly opposed to people that buy their own coffee every day. I read an article once all about how much money you can save brewing your own coffee: "A 6-ounce cup of coffee made at home, at about 17 cents a cup per day, adds up to $1.19 a week and $62.05 a year. A 16-ounce grande coffee from Starbucks, at $2.29 per day, adds up to $16.03 per week, and a hefty $835.85 per year -- the price of a mini vacation."

And, the nutrition facts of a Venti Coffee Frappucino from Starbucks aren't exactly as appealing either:

350 calories and 69g of sugar?!?!

So when I found this pin that was going viral on Pinterest for a 95-calorie Frappucino, I tried it and LOVED it! It's from Laa Loosh and it's great!

I even put in exactly what I used to MyFitnessPal and it added up to 80 calories:

You better believe that I'll be using this recipe a lot!

Now, I'm definitely not taking credit for this recipe, but I WILL vouch that it really does taste good, it really only is 80 calories, and it really is pretty easy.
80-Calorie Coffee 'Frappucino'
  • 2 tbsp. or 3 individual packets of instant coffee crystals
  • 1/2 cup skim milk
  • 2 tbsp. fat-free half & half
  • 8-10 ice cubes
  • Combine all ingredients in a blender. Blend until smooth and enjoy!

Maybe I'll try this with sugar-free whipped cream or chocolate syrup sometime!
